Governor Nickie Bonner's Biennium Message
Welcome to Zonta in District 9. Our beautiful region stretches from the sun- drenched shores of Hawaii east to California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. But even warmer than our climate, are the communities we serve, where volunteers come together to build friendships, provide service, and support women and their families.
The work of advancing the status of women is never finished. As long as women face violence in their homes, discrimination in the work place, threats to their reproductive rights and lack access to basic health and education, there will be a need for Zonta's advocacy, service and financial support. Our clubs provide a unique opportunity for women and men sharing a common purpose to come together to build strong networks, friendships and provide the kind of impactful community service they could not deliver alone.
Wherever there are women suffering, there are other women and men who will generously devote their time, treasure and talents to help. Let's work together to reach out to them and build a sustainable Zonta, one that is growing and strong. With bold ideas, fresh thinking and passion, I know we can do it. If you are a Zonta member and would like to share your ideas or experiences with me, please email email@example.com. If you are interested in Zonta membership, please email our district membership chairman, Lt. Governor, Mele Spencer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your service, dedication and caring for women and families everywhere.
