Conference Highlights

  • There are many places to visit in and around Burbank.  Universal Studios, Warner Brothers Studios, Griffith Observatory, Autry Western Museum, and the LA Zoo, are only a few attractions nearby and easily reachable via Lyft or Uber.  Additional attractions in the Los Angeles area such as Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Pier, Getty Museum, Six Flags Magic Mountain are all within a 30 mile radius.  Come early, stay late.  The special hotel rates are from October 2 through October 11.

  • On Friday night we are planning a “Zontians Wanna Have Fun” event including dinner. Reach deep into your closets and wear your favorite 70’s outfit. There will be a little something for the best outfit.  Governor Debbie and the past governors have a few tricks up their sleeve as well, so the evening promises to be fun.

  • We will be celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the Amelia Earhart Fellowship program with special guests, past international president Dr. Sharon Langenbeck and Dr. Andrea Ghez, a 2020 Noble Peace Prize recipient in physics. Both are Amelia Earhart Fellows.  Six of the 2023 AE Fellows are from District 9 and they will be recognized at lunch on Saturday.

  • This year the group picture will be at 6pm Saturday night prior to the Governor’s Gala at poolside. Come dressed for a party.

  • Governor Debbie’s District 9 service project is Cell Phones for Soldiers.  Please bring used cell phones, tablets, and laptops to the conference so that we can donate them in the name of Zonta District 9.

  • We are looking for sponsors. For more information, click here.

  • We will be having a Marketplace, it will be open prior to conference and only when we are not in session. For more information, click here.

  • silent auction will be held at the Governor's Gala on Saturday night. Clubs are asked to contribute baskets. For more information, click here.
