My dear Zontians and guests,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to District 9’s 2025 Conference. As Governor of District 9, I am honored to stand alongside such a gathering of dedicated minds and passionate hearts committed to building a better world for women and girls.

​

Above all else, I want to thank the Conference Co-chairs, Becky Cutler-Gunn and Laura Gordon for their tireless work and great ideas and most especially for keeping me in check! Their efforts are very much appreciated.

​

The theme of our conference is “Together We Rise”. This conference is more than an event - it is a continued call to action. Together, your voice, your experiences, and your commitment are what make Zonta’s mission achievable. Over the course of the conference, we will share ideas,

learn from one another, and together explore innovative ways to continue building a better world for women and girls. As the African proverb states: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Thank you for being part of this important work and for bringing your passion, energy and ideas to our Salt Lake City Conference. Let us leave inspired, equipped, and determined to continue shaping a future for women and girls grounded in equity, inclusion, dignity, and respect for all.
